Automatic air conditioning system

The automatic air conditioning system only operates when the engine is running.

1 – Temperature setting knob

2 – Control buttons:

Defrosting.

Air supply up or down.

Normal mode.

Economy mode.

Off (air supply is blocked).

3 – Air flow control buttons:

Maximum air flow.

Automatic air flow adjustment.

Minimum air flow.

4 – Air recirculation button

5 – Handle for adjusting the air flow supplied through the nozzles

6 – Nozzles

7 – Handle for adjusting the amount of air flow supplied through the side nozzles

8 – Side nozzle

Heating, cooling and air flow distribution in the vehicle interior are controlled automatically.

The direction and amount of air flow supplied through the central and side nozzles can be adjusted. When operating the automatic air conditioning system, completely close the side windows and the sunroof. Do not completely close the side and central nozzles 6 and 8.

When the exterior lighting is switched on, the control button symbols are illuminated. When the button is pressed, the symbol is illuminated brighter.

Temperature regulation.

Turn the temperature control knobs to set the desired temperature in the car. It is recommended to set the temperature to 22°C.

If the air temperature is not regulated, there is a fault in the system and the temperature control knobs must be set to the MIN or MAX position.

MIN – heating off

MAX – heating on

To fix the problem, please contact a Mercedes-Benz service station.

Air circulation.

When you press the bottom of the button, the air circulation system is turned on and the indicator light on the button lights up.

If an unpleasant odor penetrates the vehicle interior, turn off the air circulation button.

When the outside temperature is high, the automatic air conditioning system switches to recirculation mode, and the air in the cabin cools faster.

The air circulation system automatically switches off after 30 minutes if the outside temperature is above 7°C and after 5 minutes if the outside temperature is below 7°C.

The air circulation system cannot be turned on when the freeze 24 or off 28 buttons are pressed.

Economy mode – ventilation.

Normal mode – cooling.

Normal mode.

Depending on the outside air temperature, the air supplied to the vehicle interior is heated or cooled.

Cooled air is supplied only through the central and side nozzles 6 and 8.

The heated air is supplied mainly to the lower part of the vehicle's interior.

Heated air is also periodically supplied through nozzles 6.

The duration of air supply to the car windows prevents them from fogging up.

At low outside temperatures, air begins to flow into the vehicle's interior only after the coolant has warmed up.
