Signal lights



High beam indicator lamp.

Lights up when the high beam headlights are on and when the headlight signal is on.

Preheating of diesel engine.

Warning lights



Battery charging indicator light.

Warning light for parking brake applied or brake fluid level too low.

Lights up when the ignition is on, if the parking brake is applied and/or the fluid level in the hydraulic brake system is below normal.



If it lights up when the parking brake is released:
  • check the braking effect without creating dangerous situations for other road users,
  • if there is no braking effect, then stop driving further and seek assistance from an authorized Mercedes-Benz workshop,
  • if the braking effect still exists, then you should drive carefully to the nearest Mercedes-Benz workshop,
  • drive slowly and carefully so that you can brake confidently at any time using the remaining braking force or the parking brake. Avoid driving on sloped roads.

Brake pad wear indicator light.

Warning lamp for low engine oil level in the engine crankcase.

Coolant level low warning light.

Warning lamp for low fluid level in windshield washer reservoir.

Indicator lamp for the proper functioning of external lighting bulbs.

There is a fault in the anti-lock braking system (ABS).

There is a malfunction in the airbag system.

There is a fault in the Automatic Damping Stroke (ASD) system.

There is a fault in the traction control system (ASR).

There is a fault in the all-wheel drive system (4 MATIC).
