An independent heating system can work together with the car's heating system, regardless of engine operation.
An independent heating system is used to heat the vehicle interior before or while driving, and also in the event that the vehicle's main heating system is not working efficiently, as well as to defrost the windows and warm the engine coolant.
When starting the engine at very low outside temperatures, the independent heating system may turn on immediately or at a predetermined time.

Directions
When the engine is off, to reduce battery power consumption, it is recommended to turn on the independent heating system for the minimum required time and it is not recommended to turn on the system several times in a row.
When the independent heating system is operating and the key is in the ignition switch in position 0 or 1, or even removed from the ignition switch, the fan turns on only when a certain temperature of the coolant is reached.
After disconnecting the battery terminals, the current time starts flashing on the display. In this case, it is necessary to set the current time and program the independent heating system.
If, when the independent heating system is switched on, the green control LED turns off and the symbol P appears on the display, then there is a malfunction in the heating system. In this case, turn on the independent heating system again. If the green control LED turns off again, it is necessary to contact a Mercedes-Benz workshop for diagnostics and repair of the heating system.
