1. Service computer: reset readings.
For vehicles not equipped with a multi-function steering wheel (without equipment code CL4):
1. Turn the ignition key to position "2".
2. Press the "M" button several times (see arrow) on the instrument cluster until the appears message "Restlaufstrecke/Restlaufzeit (remaining mileage/time until next maintenance)".
3. No later than 10 seconds after the message appears, turn the key in the ignition switch back to position "1".
4. Press and hold the "M" button.
5. While holding the "M" button pressed, turn the ignition key to position "2". The multi-function display will show the actual remaining mileage before maintenance. After 10 seconds, a beep will sound and the new remaining mileage will be displayed.
6. Release the "M" button.
For vehicles with equipment code CL4 (multifunctional steering wheel)
1. Turn the key in the steering lock to position "2".
2. Press the arrow button several times (see arrow) left group of buttons on the multifunction steering wheel until the message appears "Restlaufstrecke/Restlaufzeit" (remaining mileage/time until next maintenance) on the multifunctional display.

3. Press the "R" (arrow) button on the instrument cluster. At the same time, the multi-function display of the instrument cluster shows the query: "Wollen Sie das Service interval I zurucksetzen (Do you want to reset the service interval?)?". Confirm with the reset button.
4. Press the "R" (arrow) button on the instrument cluster.
The multi-function display of the instrument cluster shows the message: "Das Serviceintervall wurde zuruckgesetzt (Service interval value reset (updated))".
