Removal and installation ball ends of steering rods (Mercedes-Benz Vito W639)

1. Remove the front wheel,

2. Unscrew the nut (1) securing the steering rod end to the steering knuckle.

3. Loosen the lock nut (4) while holding the steering rod (5) from turning.

4. Remove the cone pin (2) of the tie rod end joint from the hole in the steering knuckle (3).



When installing, tighten the nut (1) according to the following diagram: 50 Nm + 60.

7. Check and adjust the front wheel alignment.
