Additional work at every second maintenance (Mercedes-Benz Vito W639)

Changing the oil in the transfer case (permanent all-wheel drive code ZG2)

After the transfer case has fully warmed up, drain the oil, having first unscrewed the filler plug (2) and the drain plug (1).

Pour in 0.8 l of oil.

Tightening torques

- Filler plugs (thread M24): 40 Nm.

- Drain plugs (thread M14): 40 Nm.

Front axle oil change (permanent all-wheel drive code ZG2)

After the oil in the main gear of the front axle has completely warmed up, drain the oil, having first unscrewed the plug (2) of the filler hole and the plug (1) of the drain hole.

Pour in 0.65 l of oil.

Tightening torques

- Filler plugs: 50 Nm.

- Drain plugs: 50 Nm.
