Changing oil in manual transmission 716

1. Clean the gearbox housing around the drain and filler plugs.

2. Unscrew the filler plug (1) and the drain plug (2). Clean the magnetic catcher on the drain plug.

3. Drain the oil from the manual transmission.

4. Screw in the drain plug (2).

5. Fill the manual transmission with oil. The amount of oil filled is determined by raising its level to the lower edge of the filler (inspection hole).

6. Screw in the filler plug.

Tightening torques

- Filler plugs: 60 Nm.

- Drain plugs: 60 Nm.

Changing the oil in the rear axle

1. Clean the rear axle gearbox around the drain and filler plugs.

2. Unscrew the filler plug (1) and the drain plug (2). Clean the magnetic catcher on the drain plug:

3. Drain the oil from the gearbox.

4. Screw in the drain plug (2).

5. Fill the gearbox with oil (1.5 l). The amount of oil filled is determined by raising its level to the lower edge of the filler (inspection hole).

6. Screw in the filler plug.

Tightening torques

- Filler plugs: 90 Nm.



- Drain plugs: 90 Nm.
