Unlocking the front passenger door
Vehicle doors can no longer be locked or unlocked with a key. In this case, use the emergency key.

Pull the lock 1 and at the same time remove the emergency key 2 from the main key in the direction of the arrow.

Open the front passenger door with the emergency key. To do this, install the emergency key all the way into the door lock and turn it to the right.
If you open the unlocked front passenger door, the driver's door is additionally unlocked
If you unlock your car with the emergency key, the anti-theft system will activate (EDW). The following options are available to turn off the alarm:
- press the or button on the key;
- put the key in the ignition
Car lock
If the car can no longer be locked with the key, lock the car as follows:
- close the driver's door;
- press the center console central locking switch;
- check if the lock button on the front passenger door is still visible. Press it down with your hand if necessary. Lock the front passenger door with the emergency key.
If necessary, lock the tailgate/tailgate with the emergency key.
Replacing the battery cells of the key
Key
If the battery cells of the key are discharged, you can no longer lock or unlock the vehicle.
Replace battery cells only with the same type or the type recommended by the manufacturer.

Remove emergency key 1.
Install the emergency key across into the resulting hole.
The battery compartment is locked once.
Pull out the battery compartment of the key.
- Remove the old battery cells.

- Install new battery cells 3 with the positive pole up under the contact spring 4.
- Slide the battery compartment back into the key housing.
- Push the emergency key 1 back into the key housing.
