If there is a fault with the electrical equipment, you can mechanically disengage the automatic transmission control lever lock in position P, for example, to tow the vehicle.
Remove cover 1 using a suitable object (for example, a key).
Press down the release button 3 on the right side.
The automatic transmission selector lever is unlocked.

Move the automatic transmission control lever 2, while holding the release button 3, to position N.
After this, the automatic transmission control lever will move freely until it is again moved to position P.
