Brake warning light
When the electronic key is turned in the ignition lock to position 2, the control lamp lights up.
It goes off when the engine is running.
If this warning lamp comes on when the engine is running, the parking brake is not released or there is too little brake fluid in the brake reservoir due to leakage.
There is a danger of an accident!
If the brake fluid level in the reservoir has fallen below normal, this may lead to a failure of the brake system!
Do not add brake fluid.
You can't keep moving.
You need to go to the service station «Mercedes-Benz».
SRS safety systems warning lamp (Supplemental Restraint System)
When the electronic key is turned in the ignition switch to position 1 or 2, the control lamp lights up for approximately 4 seconds. This confirms the operability of passenger restraint systems (airbags, seat belt tensioner and automatic child seat detection).
If it does not light up, does not go out for a long time, does not go out at all, flashes or lights up while driving, then a malfunction has occurred.
There is a danger of an accident!
If there is a malfunction, the passenger restraint systems may not work in an emergency. In exceptionally rare cases, it is also possible for the airbags or seat belt tensioners to deploy spontaneously.
Drive carefully to the nearest service station «Mercedes-Benz»!
(Airbags, seat belt tensioners and automatic child seat recognition system are discussed in Section Security systems).
Fuel Reserve Warning Light
If the warning light -1- on the fuel gauge lights up when the engine is running, the fuel reserve has been reached.
