The body is self-supporting, with a rigid life-saving frame, front and rear zones of directed energy-absorbing deformation. In-door and side reinforcements are used to protect against side collisions.
The bottom and wheel wells are covered with durable protective mastic.
The body pillars from front to rear are designated A, B and C in the text of the Manual.
Two body styles are available: with a standard and extended wheelbase (2965 and 3085 mm).
