Attention! When removing the oil pan, a lifting mechanism must be used. When installing the oil pan, it is necessary to use a new gasket and new exhaust system mounting nuts.
Removing
Installation of a steel plate with a cutout on the bulkhead of the engine compartment
The location of the oil pan bolts
1 – bolts of fastening of the oil pallet to a transmission;
2 – bolts of fastening of the oil pallet to the block of cylinders of the engine
1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.
2. Remove the air filter.
3. Remove the engine mudguard.
4. Remove the front stabilizer bar.
5. Drain the engine oil from the engine.
6. If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector from the oil level sensor located in the oil pan.
7. Remove the radiator fan shroud and position it over the fan impeller.
8. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold.
9. Unscrew the nuts and remove the exhaust pipe from the bracket on the gearbox. 10. Install a cut-out steel plate on the engine bulkhead to protect the pipes and engine compartment bulkhead (see fig. Installation of a steel plate with a cutout on the bulkhead of the engine compartment).
11. Remove the center tie rod and steering damper.
12. Remove the two lower gearbox-to-engine bolts.
13. Hook the engine with the hoist straps and lift it just enough so that the weight of the engine can be supported by the hoist.
14. On both sides of the engine, unscrew the lower bolts of the engine mounts.
15. Raise the engine slightly to access the oil pan bolts.
16. Loosen the oil pan bolts evenly and diagonally. Mark the location of the bolts as they are of different lengths (see fig. The location of the oil pan bolts).
17. Remove the oil pan and remove it from under the car. Remove the oil pan gasket.
Installation
1. Clean the mating surfaces of the oil pan and engine block.
2. Install the oil pan with a new gasket on the cylinder block and secure with bolts, tightening them to the required torque.
3. Lower the engine and screw in the lower engine mount bolts.
4. Remove the hoist straps from the engine.
5. Screw in the bottom bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine.
6. Install the steering damper and tie rod center.
7. Using new nuts, secure the exhaust pipe to the transmission bracket.
8. Connect the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold.
9. Install the radiator fan shroud.
10. Connect the electrical connector to the oil level sensor.
11. Install the front anti-roll bar.
12. Check that the oil drain plug is installed in the oil pan and install the engine mudguard.
13. Install the air filter.
14. Lower the car and fill the engine with engine oil.
15. Connect ground wire to battery.
