Removal
Location of oil pump mounting bolts
1 – oil pump mounting bolts;
2 – bolt for fastening the oil intake pipe to the bracket
1. Remove the oil pan.
2. Unscrew the oil pump sprocket mounting bolt and remove the sprocket together with the drive chain.
3. Unscrew the bolt securing the oil pickup pipe bracket.
4. Remove the three oil pump mounting bolts and remove the oil pump from the cylinder block (see Fig. Location of oil pump mounting bolts).
Examination
Oil pressure relief valve
1 - cork; 2 – spring; 3 – guide pin; 4 – piston
1. Unscrew the pressure relief valve plug. Be careful when doing this, as the plug is pressed by a highly compressed spring (see Fig. Oil pressure relief valve).
2. Remove the spring, guide pin and piston.
3. Clean the oil pressure relief valve parts, check their condition and replace if necessary.
4. Assemble the oil pressure relief valve in the reverse order of disassembly.
Installation
1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following points: Before installing the oil pump, fill it with clean engine oil.
2. Install the oil pump sprocket with the convex side facing the pump.
