The main transmission gearbox is mounted on the vehicle body and connected to the wheels by means of swinging drive shafts and constant velocity joints (hereinafter referred to as CV joint).
Four modifications of the rear axle main transmission gearboxes have been developed for installation on Vito-Vian vehicles. These gearboxes differ in the gear ratio of the main pair of gears. The table shows gear ratios, component numbers according to the manufacturer's catalogue and data on the use of gearboxes together with various types of gearboxes and engines.
The decoding of the equipment codes designating the engines is given in the first section of the chapter "Diesel engine". The assembly codes are partially deciphered in the heading to the previous table.
