Removal and installation the gear shift lever

Remove the center console and its trim.
VN 4.006 1. Center console; 2. Screws
Disconnect the electrical connector (8) of the reverse light switch.
Using a suitable tool, disconnect the ball joints of the control cables (1) and (3) from the gearshift lever (5).
Remove the gear shift lever (5) with the bracket from the crossmember located under the instrument cluster.
Install in reverse order. After installation, adjust the transmission control cables.

Disconnect the manual transmission control cables.
