Disassembly of system nodes
Disassembly and reassembly of the airbag system components may cause the system to malfunction, which could inadvertently deploy and cause serious injury or death.
Do not dismantle any components of the airbag system!

Electrical wiring harness repair
Improperly repairing the safety harness could accidentally deploy the airbags or seat belt pretensioners, which could cause serious damage. If a fault is found in the connectors, replace the wiring harness.
Do not attempt to repair the wiring!

Checking airbag modules
Using an ohmmeter when testing the airbags may activate them.
Do not use an ohmmeter to test airbags!
To do this, you need to use the on-board diagnostics system in a service station.

Rules for handling airbags
When carrying the airbag, hold it so that the working side and side are not directed towards you.
VN 10.007
The airbag should not be placed face down, as if it is accidentally deployed, the body of the airbag can be thrown away by the airbag that deploys in any direction and cause injury.
Rules for handling side airbags
If the side airbag once worked, then when repairing the car, it is imperative to replace not only the airbag, but also the seatback. Cause: When the airbag is deployed, the seatback frame may be deformed.
Rules for handling the control unit of the passive safety system (SRS)
- Disconnecting the SRS Control Unit Connector (SRS) (Further - «block SRS») or moving the SRS unit with the ignition switch in the ON position may cause the airbag modules to deploy and seriously injure you.
- Before disconnecting the SRS unit connector, turn the ignition key to the LOCK position, then remove the negative battery cable and wait at least 1 minute for the stored electrical energy in the SRS unit backup power supply to be exhausted.
Note: the creation of a reserve of electrical energy is provided for by the design of the system. This is necessary so that when the power supply circuits are broken during an accident (e.g. the battery fell out) the system worked autonomously on the energy stored in the SRS unit.
Similarly, it is forbidden to dismantle or move the SRS control unit connected to the connector without following the procedure for disconnecting the unit described in the previous paragraph.
- Connecting the SRS unit connector until the unit is securely installed and secured in place is dangerous. The collision sensor in the SRS unit may signal the airbags to deploy. This can cause serious damage. Therefore, before connecting the connector, install the SRS control unit on the vehicle and fix it securely.
For vehicles with one collision sensor, if the system has ever worked, it is imperative to replace the SRS control unit with a new one.
Note: The SRS control unit cannot be checked for internal damage after the system has been triggered.
Rules for Handling the Crash Zone Sensor
- Disconnecting the Crash Zone Sensor Connector (Further - «sensor») or moving the sensor with the ignition key in the ON position may cause the airbag modules to deploy, which could seriously injure you.
- Before disconnecting the sensor connector, turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position, then remove the negative battery cable and wait at least 1 minute for the stored electrical energy in the SRS unit's backup power supply to be exhausted.
- Also, when trying to dismantle the sensor or when it is shaken, the system may work. Therefore, before any manipulation with the sensor, carry out the procedure for turning off the power to the system.
- After the system has tripped during repair, the sensor must be replaced with a new one for the same reasons as the SRS control unit.
- Ingress of oil products, lubricants, water, etc. parts of the system may inadvertently deploy airbags or seat belt pretensioners, causing serious injury.
Keep oil products, lubricants, water, etc. out of reach. on the elements of the system!
- Touching with any metal objects (screwdrivers, etc.), airbag connector pins or seat belt pretensioners can damage the connectors and activate the system.
Do not allow any foreign objects to touch the contacts of the connectors!

Attention: all work on the removal and installation of components, assemblies and parts of the car is recommended to be carried out with the battery disconnected. Work related to the removal and installation of passive safety elements (airbags and OPN seat belts), must be carried out only after reading the operating instructions and with the obligatory removal of the corresponding fuse and disconnection of the corresponding connectors.
