Removal
1. Set the piston of the first cylinder to TDC.
2. Remove the front cover 6 of the cylinder head (see figure 5.13). Lift the retainer 7 from the upper sliding lever 8.

3. Lock the intake camshaft. Insert the locking pin through the hole in the first camshaft bearing cap into the hole in the intake camshaft pulley.
4. Remove the timing chain tensioner 2.
5. Unscrew the leading part 10 from the intake camshaft.
6. Remove the upper sliding lever 8.
Installation
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Replace the seal 3. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks in the fuel system.
