Removal
1. Remove the timing chain cover 3 (see figure 5.14). There is no need to remove pallet 4. Loosen the timing chain cover mounting bolts 3. Loosen the remaining pan mounting bolts. Do not damage the sump gasket, carefully remove the timing chain cover 3 and replace it if necessary.

2. Turn the guide lever 5 forward towards the tension lever and remove it.
3. Remove the high pressure fuel pump intermediate gear 6.
4. Turn lever 7 forward towards the guide lever and remove it.
Installation
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Start the engine and check for leaks. Read the fault codes and clear them.
