Replacing the fuel filter (Mercedes-Benz Vito W638)

Engines 111.948 and 104.900



1. Turn off the ignition.

2. Open the fuel tank cap to relieve fuel pressure.

3. Clamp the rubber tubes 2 connected to the filter 1 (see figure 1.20).

4. Loosen bolts 3 and remove the fuel filter.

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Replace rubber tubes if they are damaged. Check for leaks.

6. Disconnect pipe 3 from fuel filter 1 (see figure 1.21).

7. Loosen the clamp securing tube 3 and disconnect it.

8. Unscrew the preheating valve bolt 4. Remove the valve.

9. Loosen clamp bolt 5 and remove the fuel filter from the bracket.

10. Install all components in the reverse order of removal. Before installing the filter, fill it with fuel.
