To remove the brake disc, you must first remove the pads as described above. Then unscrew the caliper bracket mounting bolts on the front axle and remove the bracket. The brake disc is secured to the hub with one bolt, which can be unscrewed to remove the disc. If necessary, you can knock off the disk with a rubber or plastic hammer. To hold the disc when unscrewing, you can screw two wheel nuts onto two hub studs and install a tire iron between them, as shown in the figure 286.
Before installing the old disk, read the recommendations in subsection 12.5.3. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Tighten the disc mounting bolt to a torque of 20 N·m, and the caliper bracket mounting bolts to a torque of 175–205 N·m.
