The accessory drive belt has multiple V-grooves on the running side to prevent belt slippage. Depending on whether the car is equipped with air conditioning or not, the belt has different positions and travel patterns. First, determine exactly which belt is used in your car. The tension of the accessory drive belt is not checked, on all engines it is automatically maintained by a spring-adjusted roller (pic. 4.24). On prechamber engines, an additional vibration damper is installed on the tensioner lever. The accessory drive belt has a long service life.

2. Mark the auxiliary drive belt with chalk in a clearly visible place (pic. 4.25).
