Removal the clutch release lever


1. Remove the release bearing.

2. Move the clutch slave cylinder push rod forward, then release the pivot pin from the clutch release lever and remove the lever from the guide sleeve (see fig. Removing the clutch release lever).

Examination



1. Clean the clutch release lever, ball stud and guide sleeve and check their condition.

2. Check the condition of the locking spring on the clutch release lever.

Before installing the clutch release lever, apply a thin coat of molybdenum disulfide grease to the pivot pin and guide bushing.

When installing the clutch release lever, check that the retaining spring holds the pivot pin securely.

1. Clean and apply a thin film of molybdenum disulfide grease to the release bearing mating surface of the lever, as well as to the pivot pin and guide bushing (see Fig. Applying a layer of grease to the pivot pin and guide bushing).

2. Install the clutch release lever onto the guide sleeve, then slide the end of the lever over the pivot pin so that the locking spring is positioned and holds the pivot pin in place (see Fig. Installing the Clutch Release Lever).
