Removal the release bearing

1. Remove the gearbox.
2. Rotate the release bearing and disconnect it from the clutch release lever, then move the bearing forward along the guide sleeve and remove it from the clutch housing input shaft (see fig. Removing the release bearing).
Examination
1. Check the clutch release bearing for smoothness and evenness of movement, and for wear.
2. If the operating time of the bearing is unknown, it is advisable to replace it.
3. Do not wash the bearing in solvents, as this will remove the grease from the bearing and cause rapid wear of the bearing.
Installation
1. Clean and lightly lubricate the release bearing mating surface of the clutch release lever and the guide sleeve with molybdenum disulfide grease.
2. Install the release bearing onto the guide sleeve, then turn it to connect it to the clutch release lever.
3. Install the gearbox.
