4. Apply a thin coat of grease to the splined end of the transmission input shaft before connecting the transmission to the engine.
Note: On vehicles with a dual counterweight flywheel, the internal splines of the clutch driven disc hub are nickel plated and it is not necessary to lubricate the splined end of the transmission input shaft. See. Clutch.
5. Add engine oil, fill and bleed the cooling system.
6. Fill the gearbox with oil.
7. Depending on the modification, adjust the throttle and starting device drive rods.
