A button on the door that shows whether the door is locked or unlocked.
Viscosity of motor oil
A measure of the internal friction (viscosity) of oil at different temperatures. The higher the viscosity, the better the oil's ability to withstand higher temperatures without becoming too thin, or lower temperatures without becoming too thick.
Rear-facing child seat
A special passenger restraint system for children up to 9 months or weighing up to 10 kg. The Rebard seat is mounted on the passenger seat in the opposite direction of travel. The front passenger seat sensing system prevents the front passenger airbag from deploying when a Rebard seat is installed.
Switching range
The number of gears available to an automatic transmission. You can limit the gear shift range.
Engine Overspeed Range
The speed in the red tachometer range at which the engine should only operate briefly.
Ground clearance of the car
The vehicle's ground clearance is automatically adjusted depending on the selected setting and speed. For example, if the road surface is in very poor condition, the driver can set the ground clearance manually.
Sign
Mark for certification according to the relevant EU directives.
Speed index
Part of the tire designation indicates the speed range for which the tire is approved.
UM (Limiter) indicator
(Speed limiter) The indicator lamp on the cruise control lever shows whether the speed limiter of the SPEEDTRONIC system is activated,
Kick-down
With an automatic transmission, when the accelerator pedal is pressed beyond the point of resistance, the transmission shifts to the lowest possible gear. This allows the car to accelerate faster.
Wheel
The rim and the toothed rim are usually colloquially referred to as the rim.
Instrument cluster
Indicators and control lamps in the driver's field of vision, such as a multi-function display, tachometer, speedometer, fuel reserve indicator.
TIREFIT temporary tyre repair kit
Designed for temporary tire repair. The temporary repair kit includes a can of sealant, a filling hose and a valve extractor with a valve core.
Transmission
A speed-torque converter that increases engine speed (low torque) converts into low speed rotation on the drive wheels (high torque).
Xenon headlight
A headlight in which the intense light is produced by a gas discharge rather than a filament.
Lingvotronic
Provides voice control of car phones, mobile phones or audio systems such as radios and CD players.
Menu
The control system indicators are summarized in a menu. The menus thematically unite several commands accordingly. For example, in the "AUDIO" menu you will find the commands "Sefekt station" (select radio station) or "Operate CD player" (cD player control). With these commands you can directly change the setting for your car.
Multifunctional steering wheel
