Caution: When working on the brake system, avoid contact of brake fluid with skin and paintwork.
1. Remove vacuum from the brake booster. To do this, with the engine off, press the brake pedal several times; when the pedal becomes hard, the vacuum is removed.
2. Remove the expansion tank (8) from the bracket (14), but do not disconnect it from the master brake cylinder.
3. Disconnect the pressure tubes (6) from the master cylinder. To prevent dirt from getting onto the working surface of the cylinder, close the holes in the master cylinder body with plugs.
4. Unscrew the nuts (5) and remove the brake master cylinder (4) by pulling it towards the front of the vehicle. When installing, replace the sealing ring (2).
5. Disconnect the expansion tank (8) from the master cylinder (4).
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, after installation it is necessary to bleed the hydraulic system of the brakes and clutch (see "Maintenance").
