Removing the brake fluid reservoir (A)
Removing the bushings (IN) reservoir
1. Open the hood and lock it in an upright position.
2. Unscrew the screw cap (1).
3. Remove through the mouth of the tank (A) mesh filter.
4. Pump out the tank (A) brake fluid.
5. Disconnect the connector (2) brake fluid level sensor wiring.
6. Remove the fixing screw (3) and separate the tank (A) from the GTZ, - try to prevent brake fluid from getting on the painted body panels.
7. Release the mounting sleeves from their sockets in the GTZ body (IN) reservoir (A), - prepare replacement bushings.
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order - before installation, the NEW mounting sleeves should be moistened with brake fluid.
9. Finally, add the correct amount of hydraulic fluid of the required grade to the reservoir.
Master brake cylinder (GTZ)
GTZ installation details
1 - GTZ; 2.3 - Brake lines; 9 - Landing sleeves of the tank; 10 - GTZ tank; 16 - Brake booster; 17 - O-ring; 19 - Nuts
1. Remove the brake fluid reservoir (10) (see above).
2. Disconnect from GTZ (1) brake lines (2 and 3).
3. Give fixing nuts (19) and remove the GTS (1) from the brake booster unit (16), - do not tilt the cylinder to avoid damage to the fixing tabs as a result of misalignment of the stop rod fit. Prepare replacement nuts (19) and sealing ring (17).
Attention! The GTZ cannot be repaired and must be replaced in case of failure!
4. Finally, bleed the brake system (see Section Bleeding the brake system) and check its hydraulic path for signs of leaks.
