Removing
1. Remove the cylinder head cover.
2. Remove all hydraulic lifters using a magnetized puller.
3. Remove the cylinder head (loosening the fixing screws) and place it on the base (see fig. 2.47). Install the cylinder head with the arrow pointing forward and with the inner side on the supporting surface. Secure the cylinder head against movement with bolts (in the front and in the back) on the supporting surface. Cylinder head must be installed with attached parts (e.g. intake and exhaust manifolds).

4. Remove the valve springs and replace the valve stem seal. Replace the seal immediately before installing the valve.
5. Lift the cylinder head off the bearing surface and pull the valves down. Check their roughness or the roughness of the valve seat surface (visually or with a tool). Replace a valve that has a rough poppet or mating surface.
Installation
7. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
