Removal



1. Remove the cylinder head cover.

2. Remove all hydraulic compensators using a magnetized puller.

3. Remove the cylinder head (unscrewing the mounting bolts) and install it on the supporting surface (see figure 2.47). Install the cylinder head with the arrow facing forward and the inner side on the supporting surface. Secure the cylinder head against movement with bolts (front and back) on the supporting surface. The cylinder head must be installed with the parts attached (for example, intake and exhaust manifolds).

4. Remove the valve springs and replace the valve stem seal. Replace the seal immediately before installing the valve.

5. Lift the cylinder head off the supporting surface and remove the valves downwards. Check their roughness or the roughness of the valve seat surface (visually or with a tool). Replace a valve that has roughness on the disc or mating surface.



Installation



7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
