Removal
1. Remove the mass air flow sensor.
2. Unscrew nuts 1 securing heat shield 2 to exhaust manifold 3 (see figure 3.10).

3. Remove the heat shield 2.
4. Remove the exhaust manifold assembly.
5. Unscrew the exhaust gas recirculation tube from the adapter 4 of the exhaust manifold 3. Rotate the exhaust gas recirculation tube until it is completely removed.

6. Unscrew nuts 5 securing exhaust manifold 3.
7. Remove the exhaust manifold 3.
Installation
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Replace gasket 7 of exhaust manifold 3.
