Removal
1. Loosen hub mounting nut 2 (see figure 7.7).

2. Remove the front wheel.
3. Unscrew nut 2.
4. Unscrew bolts 3 securing axle shaft 1 to the gearbox flange.
5. Unscrew the bolt and nut on the kingpin (only on vehicles with engines 611.980).
6. Disconnect the kingpin from the steering knuckle (only on vehicles with engines 611.980).
7. Disconnect axle shaft 1 from the wheel hub. Wipe the outer surfaces of the attached elements.
Installation
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
