2. Inspect the anthers for breaks and cracks, as well as loose clamps. If there are signs of cracks or leakage of lubricant, the cover must be replaced.

3. At the same time, check the general condition of the CV joints by holding the shaft while trying to turn the wheel. Try again, holding the inner CV joint and rotating the shaft. Any noticeable play indicates wear on the pivot, wear in the shaft grooves, or a loose shaft lock nut.
