Disassembling the rear axle (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 903)
Since repair of the rear axle and differentials requires special tools and equipment, this manual does not cover repair procedures. To visually check the condition of the gearbox, you need to unscrew the crankcase cover from the rear side (drain the oil before doing this). In this way, for example, the condition of the teeth of bevel gears can be checked. It is recommended that the removed rear axle be taken to a specialized service station for repairs.
