In the area of engine engineering, Mercedes offers high technology. Here, 3- and 4-valve cylinder heads and fully electronic engine management are already familiar. Different valve timing phases are complemented by different volumes of the intake pipes. Lubrication system analyzers facilitate monitoring of engine operation and extend the oil change intervals. And the most modern Mercedes diesel engine features direct injection in combination with a turbocharger and charge air cooling.
