Preparing the Vehicle for Rough Headlight Adjustment
1. The fuel tank must be full. Otherwise, put the ballast in the trunk (with a half-filled tank - about 30 kg).
2. Behind the wheel must be an assistant (otherwise use 75kg ballast).
3. Tire pressure must be correct.

4. Park the car against a wall. The distance from the wall to the car must be exactly 5 m (pic. 9.22).
5. Press firmly on the front of the vehicle to bring the front suspension into its original position.
Sequence of work
1. Measure the distance from the floor to the center point of both headlights. Set aside the value on the wall and draw a line S1.
2. Five centimeters below it, draw a parallel line on the wall E. This is the deviation of the low beam at a distance of 5 m.
3. Looking forward through the rear window, ask an assistant to draw a vertical line exactly in the center of the car M.
4. Measure (left and right) the distance between the center of the vehicle and the center point of the headlights. Put these values on the auxiliary line S1 (to the left and right of the intersection point of the lines M and S1) and mark with a setting cross S2.
5. Exactly 5 cm under these crosses, when adjusting, there should be break points for the low beam on the adjustment line E.
6. If the car is equipped with fog lights, to adjust them, draw an auxiliary line with installation crosses in a similar way (fog light center point).
