Headlights differ not only in appearance (slightly oval in shape), but also structurally. The four-headlight arrangement allowed the low and high beams to be separated. Both large outer headlights of the E-class are responsible for the low beam and turn signals, the smaller diameter headlights are responsible for the high beam and the side and parking lights. The fog lights are located in the bumper trim (Fig. 9.15).
