Replacing headlight bulbs (Mercedes-Benz E-Class W210)

0
All incandescent bulbs in the headlights are installed on the engine compartment side. Before replacing a bulb, make sure that the corresponding consumer is switched off. Replacing the parking light bulbs does not affect the headlight settings. After replacing all other bulbs, it is necessary to check (at a service station) the installation of the corresponding headlight. When replacing bulbs, do not touch the bulb with your hands: even the slightest traces evaporate and on a hot bulb this leads to clouding of the reflector. Therefore, use a clean napkin to replace the bulb.

1. Depending on the headlight design, turn the low or high beam headlight cover counterclockwise and remove it, or remove the cover from the rear of the corresponding headlight after first releasing the retaining clips (Fig. 9.19). If the vehicle is equipped with a headlight washer, first remove the washer fluid reservoir next to the left headlight.
