Removing the pivot pin of the shoe of the double-row chain tensioner using an inertial hammer
1. Remove the drive chain cover.
2. Remove the camshaft sprocket.
3. Drill a hole with a diameter of 5.5 mm along the axis of the hinge pin, then cut an M6 thread in the hole to a depth of 10 mm.
4. Screw an M6 bolt into the pivot pin and, using an inertial hammer with an adapter, remove the pivot pin by the bolt head (see picture).
5. Remove the tensioner shoe.
Examination
1. Check the condition of the shoe for excessive wear, damage or cracks and replace if necessary.
Installation
1. Reinstall the tensioner shoe and secure it with a new pivot pin.
2. Install the camshaft sprocket.
3. Install the drive chain cover.
