Location of single row drive chain on engine
1 – crankshaft sprocket; 2 – camshaft sprocket; 3 – drive chain tensioning mechanism; 4 – shoe; 5 – upper chain guide; 6 – lower chain guide; 7 – intermediate shaft sprocket
Removal the lower guide of a single-row drive chain
1. Remove the drive chain cover.
2. Remove the lower chain guide by pulling it towards you (see pictures).
3. Check the condition of the chain guide and replace it if necessary.
4. Install the lower chain guide by simply pushing it into place.
5. Install the drive chain cover.
