Removal
Removal the drive chain tensioner shoe

1. Set the piston of the first cylinder to TDC and check that all the timing marks are aligned with the pointers.
2. Remove the lower drive chain cover.
3. Place alignment marks on the drive chain and crankshaft sprocket.
4. Rotate the tensioner shoe and remove it from the pivot pin (see Fig. Removing the drive chain tensioner shoe).

Plastic part that comes into contact with the drive chain

Remove the plastic piece from the shoe that contacts the drive chain.
1. Check the shoe for wear, damage or cracks. If the plastic surface that contacts the drive chain is worn, it can be replaced separately after releasing the retaining clips (see fig. Releasing the chain tensioner shoe retaining clips, Plastic part in contact with the drive chain).
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
