Removing
Removing the shoe of the drive chain tensioner
1. Set the piston of the first cylinder to TDC and check that all the alignment marks are aligned with the pointers.
2. Remove the lower drive chain cover.
3. Put alignment marks on the drive chain and crankshaft sprocket.
4. Rotate the tensioner shoe and remove it from the pivot pin (see fig. Removing the shoe of the drive chain tensioner).

Plastic part in contact with the drive chain
Remove the plastic piece that comes into contact with the drive chain from the shoe.
1. Check the condition of the shoe for wear, damage or cracks. If the plastic surface in contact with the drive chain is worn, it can be replaced separately after the fixation brackets are released (see fig. Chain Tensioner Shoe Retaining Brackets Release, Plastic Part Contacting Drive Chain).
Installation
1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
