1. Turn off the ignition.

2. Mark the belt on a clearly visible side with a chalk line.
3. Turn the engine shaft using the SW 27 socket wrench on the crankshaft pulley in the direction of engine shaft rotation by one part until the chalk mark becomes visible again. At the same time, set the gearbox to neutral, tighten the hand lever for engaging the parking brake system.
Caution: Do not turn the motor shaft in the opposite direction.
4. Check the V-belt for the following damage:
- wear of the side surfaces: the edges become pointed in the direction of point (B), they again take on a trapezoidal shape;
- the pulling vein can be seen at the base of the rib, especially visible in lighter areas (C);
- transverse cracks (D) on the back of the belt;
- individual ribs have come off (come loose);
- the outer tension wires (F) have frayed;
- the pulling wires on the side are torn out (G);
- transverse cracks (H) in some ribs;
- rib ruptures (J);
- individual transverse cracks in the belt ribs (K);
- inclusions of dirt and stones between the ribs;
- rubbery lumps at the base of the ribs.
5. Replace the V-ribbed belt if one or more defects are present.
