1. Switch off the ignition.
2. Mark the belt on a clearly visible side with a chalk line.
3. Turn the engine shaft with a socket SW 27 on the crankshaft pulley in the direction of rotation of the engine shaft, respectively, by one part until the chalk mark becomes visible again. At the same time, place the gearbox in neutral position, tighten the hand lever for engaging the parking brake system.
Attention! Do not turn the motor shaft in the opposite direction.
4. Check the V-belt for the following damage:
- flank wear: the ribs become pointed towards the point (IN), again they take a trapezoidal shape;
- a pulling vein can be seen at the base of the rib, especially visible in lighter places (WITH);
- transverse cracks (D) on the back of the belt
- individual ribs broke off (lagged behind);
- frayed outer pulling veins (F);
- the pulling veins are torn out on the side (G);
- transverse cracks (H) in some ribs;
- rib breaks (J);
- individual transverse cracks in the belt ribs (TO);
- inclusion of dirt and stones between the ribs;
- rubber lumps at the base of the ribs.
5. Replace the ribbed V-belt if one or more defects are present.
