1. Remove the ground cable from the battery.

2. Unscrew the bolt and remove the air intake pipe.

3. Remove the radiator fan shroud.

4. Remove the lower engine splash shield.

5. Drain the engine oil from the engine.

6. Remove the front anti-roll bar.

7. On both sides of the engine, unscrew the lower engine mount mounting bolts (see Fig. Location of the lower engine mount mounting bolt).

8. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the oil level and pressure sensors.

9. On automatic transmission models, remove the nuts and bolts and remove the pipes from the oil pan.



10. Remove the nuts and bolts securing the oil cooler pipes to the oil pan and intake manifold bracket and move them to the side (see Fig. Location of bolts securing the oil cooler pipe to the oil pan).

11. Attach the engine to the lifting gear and lift it so that the weight of the engine is supported by the lifting gear.

12. Remove the central steering rod and steering damper.

13. Remove the two lower bolts securing the gearbox to the engine.

14. To access the oil pan mounting bolts, lift the engine.

15. Loosen the oil pan mounting bolts evenly in a diagonal sequence. Mark the bolt locations as they are different lengths.

16. Lower the oil pan and remove it from under the vehicle. Remove the gasket.

Installation



1. Clean the mating surfaces of the oil pan and cylinder block.

2. Install the oil pan with a new gasket on the engine, screw in the bolts and tighten them to the specified torque.

3. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Fill the engine with engine oil. On models with an automatic transmission, check the oil level in the gearbox.
