1. Remove the screw securing the air intake and remove the air intake pipe from the air filter housing (see Fig. Location of the screw securing the air intake, Removing the air intake pipe from the air filter housing).



2. Remove the crankcase ventilation hose from the side of the air filter.

3. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the electrical connector from the engine air temperature sensor located on the air cleaner housing (see Fig. Disconnecting the electrical connector from the engine inlet air temperature sensor).

4. Remove the nuts securing the air cleaner housing to the fuel distributor and intake manifold (see fig. Unscrewing the lower air filter housing mounting nuts, Location of the side air filter housing mounting nut, Location of the rear air filter housing mounting nut).

5. Loosen the nuts and spring clips securing the air filter cover and then remove the filter element from the air filter housing. Loosen the nuts and screws and remove the lower part of the air filter housing (see Fig. Removing the lower part of the air filter housing). Remove the rubber gasket.

1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Check the correct installation of the rubber seal between the air filter housing and the fuel line (see Fig. Location of the rubber seal between the air cleaner housing and the fuel line).
