1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.
2. Remove the wiper arm.
3. Open the hood and place it in a vertical position. Turn the wiper on and then off to reset the wiper arm to its original position. Remove the rubber seal on the left and right side at the base of the windshield. Remove the rubber seal from the top of the engine bulkhead and heater fan cover (see fig. The location of the left and right seals at the base of the windshield and the bulkhead of the engine compartment and heater fan).
4. Remove the plastic insulating panel located behind the battery and disconnect the semi-circular cover located at the base of the wiper gear (see fig. Removing the plastic insulating panel located behind the battery, Disconnecting the semi-circular cover located at the base of the wiper gear).
5. Release the mounting brackets and remove the panel from the front of the heater fan housing (see fig. Removing the panel from the front of the heater fan housing).
6. Unscrew the screws and remove the insulating panel located between the wiper motor and the heater fan housing (see fig. The location of the screws for fastening the insulating panel installed between the wiper motor and the heater fan housing, Removing the insulating panel located between the wiper motor and the heater fan housing).
7. Release the mounting brackets, then unscrew the screws and remove the left and right sections of the heater fan casing. To access the wiper motor, unscrew the screws and remove the central section of the heater fan housing (see fig. Location of the mounting bracket and screws securing the side section of the heater fan casing, Location of the screws that secure the central section of the heater fan casing, Removing the center section of the heater fan casing).
8. Unscrew the four nuts and disconnect the mounting bracket from the base of the wiper motor (see fig. The location of the wiper motor mounting nuts, Releasing the mounting bracket located at the base of the wiper motor).
9. Remove the wiper unit, while disconnecting the electrical connector from it (see fig. Disconnecting the electrical connector from the wiper unit).
10. If necessary, mark the location of the crank on the motor shaft, then unscrew the nut and remove the gearbox from the motor shaft. Unscrew the motor mounting bolts and remove the motor from the wiper assembly (see fig. Location of the nut on the crank shaft and the wiper motor mounting bolts).
Installation
1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal. Tighten the motor mounting bolts and the nut on the crankshaft to the specified torque. Check that all casings and panels of the heater fan are installed correctly and securely fastened.
