The rubber brush is inserted into two metal fixing guides (1), which must be taken apart separately when removed.
Removing
Warning! When working on the wipers Remove the ignition key. When moving the wiper arm or the wiper linkage from the position "1" the ignition key, the automatic return of the brushes to their original position may turn on. That is, the wiper operates in idle mode as long as it is in its original position. There is a risk of injury!
1. Raise the wiper arm without locking it.
2. Push down the plastic clip on the knurled part (1) and move the wiper blade down (2) from the hook on the wiper arm.
3. narrow screwdriver (2) push back the rubber brush from both steel guides from the closed side (2) and carefully pull the rubber brush out of the guides.
4. Unhook the rubber brush (3) from clamps (4) on the windshield wiper.
Installation
1. Loosely lay the rubber brush not in the fixing guides, but in the wiper clips.
2. Insert both guides with the open profile side into the rubber brush so that the grooves of the guides look towards the rubber and lock into the protrusions of the groove. The bend of the guides must face the direction of the glass.
3. Spring latches enter the latch groove more easily if its front end is first beveled with a file and lubricated with soapy water (detergent).
4. Lubricate the rubber brush on the closed side with soapy water to help it glide better in the clamps.
5. Clamp both steel guides and a rubber brush with pliers and hang into the clamps of the wiper itself.
6. Fit the wiper blade so that it is between both guide pins on the wiper arm.
Attention! If a new wiper blade is being installed, press the plastic clips down onto the knurled parts.
7. Slide the wiper blade into the hooks of its lever, clamp the plastic clips and thereby fix the wiper blade.
8. Squeeze the wiper arm. At the same time, pay attention to the fact that the rubber brush is in contact with the glass everywhere.
9. Turn on the windshield wiper. The cleaning section should be easy to clean.
Attention! The rubber sponge of the wiper blade should bend when changing the direction of travel (overturn). If not, carefully bend the wiper arm so that its end is parallel to the glass.
