Clutch mechanism control (Mercedes-Benz Vito W639)

The standard design of the clutch for all types of engines of this vehicle with a double flywheel (TMF) is the presence of automatic adjustment of the diaphragm spring.



When installing a new push mechanism (or when installing another used mechanism) the automatic adjustment ring of the diaphragm spring should be installed (adjusting the clearance in the shut-off drive) to the starting position (see below).

The conventional clutch release drive, which included a remote clutch slave cylinder and a release drive lever, is replaced in this model by a hydraulic cylinder installed coaxially with the primary shaft of the gearbox.



Models equipped with an automated gearbox are equipped with a clutch release bearing travel sensor.
