Removal
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Loosen the pan mounting bolts. Make sure the pan gasket is not damaged. Replace it if necessary.
4. Remove the flywheel/drive plate 1 (see figure 5.33).

5. Remove the rear cover together with the oil seal 2.

Installation
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Wipe the sealing surfaces. Do not lubricate or apply sealant. Install cover 2 on crankshaft 5 so that guide bushings 6 fit into guide holes.
