Removal
1. Remove the air filter.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Disconnect the tie strap (arrow) from the lifting eye 8 (see figure 2.104).

4. Disconnect coolant pipes 2 and 4 from cover 3.
5. Remove cover 3 from thermostat 5. Thermostat 5 must be removed from cover 3 and disposed of. Reusing the thermostat is prohibited.
Installation
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Replace gasket 6.
