Removal



1. Drain the coolant.

2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

3. Remove the air filter housing.

4. Remove the crankshaft groove pulley.

5. Disconnect cooling system pipes 11, 12, 13 from pump 10 (see figure 2.102).

13. Branch pipe (to the thermostat housing),
14. Gasket,
15. Coolant pump pulley.


6. Unscrew the bolts securing pulley 15 of pump 10.

7. Lift pulley 15 up and down.

8. Loosen bolts 6, 8 on bracket 5.

9. Disconnect pump 10 and remove it. Bolts 2 and 9 can be removed together with the pump. The pump must be lubricated with sealant before installation.

Installation



10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Install bolts 2 and 9 before installing pump 10. Wipe the contact surfaces. Lubricate gasket 14 with sealant if necessary. Tighten the mounting bolts to the torque specified in the specification.

11. Check for leaks in the cooling system.
