Removal



1. Remove the cylinder head cover 1 (see figure 3.20).

5. Camshaft pulleys,
6. Nut,
7. Main bearing caps,
8. Cylinder head.


2. Set the camshafts to their normal position.

3. Remove the upper timing belt cover 2.

4. Unscrew bolts 4 securing pulleys 5 of the camshafts.

5. Remove the 5 camshaft pulleys.

6. Unscrew nuts 6 securing the main bearing caps 7 of the camshafts.

7. Remove the main bearing caps 7 from the cylinder head 8. Do not mix up the bearing caps, they have their own markings.

8. Remove camshafts 3 without damaging them.

Installation



9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Check the basic position of the camshafts.
