Removal



1. Raise the car with a jack and remove the wheels.

2. Disconnect the wiring connector from the brake pad wear indicators 3 (figure 7.6).

3. Remove retainer 2 and inner shoe 4.

4. Remove the outer gasket 5.

5. Wipe the brake mechanism components, check for wear and damage.

Installation



6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
  • Brake disc thickness: 30 mm.
  • Allowable thickness: 26 mm.
  • Lateral runout: 0.15 mm.
  • Axial runout: 0.02 mm.
  • Permissible brake lining wear: models 667,668, 670 with disc brakes 2 mm;
  • Models 670.4 with drum brakes 3.5 mm.

Removal



1. Raise the car with a jack and remove the wheels.

2. Loosen the parking brake system actuators.

3. Disconnect the wiring connector from the brake pad wear indicators 3 (figure 7.7).

4. Remove retainer 2 and inner shoe 4.

5. Fix the lower piston 8 with a wedge and press on the upper piston 9 with the installation device 6.

6. Remove the outer gasket 5.

7. Fix the upper piston 9 with a wedge and turn back the adjustment mechanism in the lower piston 8.

8. Wipe the brake mechanism components, check for wear and damage.

Installation



9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
  • Thickness of the new brake disc: 30 mm.
  • Permissible wear of the brake disc: 27.75 mm.
  • Maximum lateral runout: 0.15 mm.
  • Maximum axial runout: 0.02 mm.
  • Permissible wear of brake lining: 2 mm.
